材料デザイン工学科

令和3年7月2日、富山県民会館にて、出来田肇富山県生活環境文化部長より、カノワンさんを含む11か国の24名に「富山名誉友好大使」の称号が授与されました。
これは県内に勤務する語学指導助手や留学生を対象に、富山県と世界の友好の懸け橋となってもらうことを目的に、富山県が1989年度から始められた制度です。

カノワンさんは2020年12月から、都市デザイン学部材料デザイン工学科松田研究室にて、国立研究開発法人科学技術振興機構－クレスト(JST-CREST)の研究支援員として「革新的力学機能材料の創出に向けたナノスケール動的挙動と力学特性機構の解明」という課題のアルミニウム合金の研究支援を行っています。

カノワンさんはタイ王国チェンマイ大学の博士課程の学生時代にJSTのさくらサイエンスプランで2度来富し、滞在中に富山大学が大変気に入り、3か月間、特別研究学生として同研究室に滞在した経験があります。

Dr. Kanokwan Uttarasak, Visiting Researcher at the University of Toyama, was awarded the title of Toyama Honorary Friendly Envoy

On July 2, 2021, 24 people from 11 countries, who are living in Toyama prefecture, were awarded the title of “Toyama Honorary Friendly Envoy” at the Toyama Prefectural Hall by Mr. Hajime Dekiden, Director of Living Environment and Culture Department, Toyama Prefecture. This award was established in 1989 by Toyama Prefecture with the aim of having language teaching assistants who are working in the prefecture and international students as a bridge of friendship between Toyama Prefecture and the world.

Currently, Dr. Kanokwan Uttarasak is assisting the research of aluminum alloys under the title of “Elucidation of nanoscale dynamic behavior and mechanical properties for the creation of innovative mechanical functional materials” as a research support member of the Japan Science and Technology Agency – Crest (JST-CREST) since December in 2020 at Matsuda Laboratory, Department of Materials Design Engineering, Faculty of Sustainable Design, University of Toyama.

Dr. Kanokwan came to Japan twice under JST’s Sakura Science Exchange Program when she was a doctoral course student at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. During her stay, she liked the University of Toyama very much and she stayed in Toyama for three months as a special research student in the same laboratory during her doctoral program.

Dr. Kanokwan Uttarasak received the title of Toyama Honorary Friendly Envoy from Mr. Hajime Dekiden, Director of Living Environment and Culture Department, Toyama Prefecture.
